Off to Pampanga.

The little girl is skipping class today. We’re leaving in a while for Pampanga that’s why. We’re trying to avoid heavy traffic so we’re hitting the road as early.

My cousin’s wedding is tomorrow morning, yes its a morning wedding. All the while I thought it wasn’t until I thoroughly read the invitation (which is like a weeks ago!). Bad. Honestly, I’m not used to attending morning weddings, really. I have never been into one for the last years, I think. Now I need to get up early Saturday morning to be made up and all. (My mom’s one of the ninangs too by the way) Well, I’m not complaining though. I wake up early all the time anyway.

I’m so excited for the little girl. It’s her first time as a flower girl you see. Actually, its her first time to attend a wedding! Haha. I just wish she won’t make me kulit as I’m also the matron of honor :P

We’ll be back with pics as soon as we get back on Sunday :)

Happy Weekend everyone!

The shoe hunt ends, finally.

The shoe hunt for the little girl finally ends.

The flap.

I couldn’t sleep last night so I killed time surfing the net. My hands led me to The Purse Blog and eventually to The Purse Forum and boy oh boy, I fell in love with the Jumbo Classic Flap Bag in Caviar! Since I am one boring dresser :D , I want it in black! Although the white looks oh so tempting too! *DROOL* After the price increase last November, I now need to shell out $2,650.00 for this bag though, plus taxes. Sniff. Sniff. But hey, such a classic piece is so worth it I believe so I vow to get myself one soon, promise! I will make it happen! LOL.

Let’s wait and see :)

The perfect shoe hunt.

I have been trying to find the perfect silver shoes for Sophia to wear this Saturday for my cousin’s wedding but I couldn’t get to see one I like.  Most shoes in silver that would perfectly match with her flowergirl gown usually don’t have her size.  They are mostly for one to two year olds. How sad is that?  The silver shoes available in her size are all ballet shoes which I am veering away from as much as possible. I wanted to get her nice silver “dressy” shoes, if there is ever such a term.  Oh, just three days to go and she is still shoeless!

I hope tomorrow proves to be a lucky day. We’ll troop to all other malls near our area and I hope to be lucky and find her the perfect pair!

It’s never too late to learn.

My mom wants to learn a thing or two about computers – the basics, actually. She has been wanting to do so for some time now but is too busy to take up classes. She is 49 years old by the way and has never in her lifetime touched any computer. It is never too late to learn anything though, right? As long as one is determined to, it is possible.

A friend told me about Tech Tutor Video which offers introduction to computers and the internet featuring Windows Vista. They provide videos with simple introduction to computer basics, the Internet, and email. Tech Tutor Video was the brainchild of Seattle natives, Brett and Megan Stewart. Their approach to teaching computer basics is fun and informal, that can be watched in the comfort of your own home. When you see some of their lesson samples, you’ll find out how they teach through discussion and demonstration that are proven to be more effective, rather than classroom format lectures. Simple instructions and explanations while watching the steps performed on the computer are what every beginner needs when learning the basics of computer I think so I bet this is what my mom needs. With her age and no prior computer experience, she needs simple, basic and easy to understand instructions to make learning the technology easy for her and Tech Tutor Video is good at this as they use everyday language and provides visual examples all the time.

I’m alive.

What’s up with me? Nothing, really. Just extremely LAZY the past days.  Hence, no posts for days now which is so not me, right?

I hope to get my groove back. Tomorrow, maybe :)

Happy girl.

She loves doing that. Whenever I take out my camera and points it at her, she does that. I wonder if she’s making pa-cute or what. I almost always have to remind her to open her eyes if I want to get a decent photo of her. But isn’t she just adorable? Okay, she’s my daughter :P but look at that smile (or whatever), those chubby cheeks and that flat nose (haha) you almost want to bite! She really is one happy girl – always smiling, always in a good mood. She’s full of life. A little girl who never runs out of questions to ask. If in any way you don’t answer or is busy with something else, she has ways of making you notice her and attend to her question like literally pulling your face to look at her! Now, that almost always elicits laughs from other people (when they see us), I swear :D

Identity theft.

I always thought that identity theft just mostly happens in movies or shows and not in reality. I guess I was wrong. I was able to catch an episode at an investigative channel one time and they were featuring the story of a couple who had a case of identity theft. They were victimized by their own neighbors would you believe? It’s pretty alarming once you get to know all the details I’m telling you. Identity theft sounds absurd and unrealistic but it happens. I am surprised to find out that it is even quite rampant in the United States.

Some people take certain measures to avoid identity theft and so should you. It’s good to know that there are available tools like the technology from LoudSiren that can help consumers protect themselves from identity theft. Loudsiren in partnership with Debix offers the next generation of consumer protection that enables one to protect his or her identity in minutes. The LoudSiren (Debix) Identity Protection Network was established in 2004 to protect consumers and lenders from identity theft. The Network processes thousands of credit requests from lenders each month. All you have to do is enroll which is guaranteed fast and quick, and after enrollment, LoudSiren (Debix) Fraud Alert Management will file a fraud alert for your name to all the major credit bureaus. And once a credit is being requested under your name, the creditors will contact your LoudSiren Safe Number so you can verify and authorize first this credit request before the creditors approve it. Now, that is easy don’t you think? Such an easy procedure can protect you from something big like identity theft so don’t be a victim and make your move.

On Moving.
