Chinese Birth Chart.

As you all know by now, Jon and I have been trying for baby number two for quite some time now.  Unfortunately, we haven’t been successful.  We initially wanted to conceive October of last year as according to the Chinese Birth Chart from Shelly Wu Associates at http://www.chineseastrology.com/wu/birthchart.html, I will be more likely to have a boy.  Sad to say, we were not blessed with our second blessing then until today.  If I rely on the said calendar again for a baby boy, Jon and I should try making baby number two in the following months this year – March, April, June, September, November and December.

Some may find this silly, others on the other hand would swear by it. As for me and Jon, we find that we won’t lose naman anything if try to follow it. After all, the calendar held true with our first born, Sophia.

Anyway, here’s the chart I’m talking about. I wonder if you find it reliable. Tumama ba sa inyo?

This chart is believed to have been buried in a tomb near Beijing for almost 700 years and the original is now in the Beijing Institute of Science. By cross-referencing the month a child was conceived with the age of the mother at conception, the sex of the child may be determined. This chart has been proven to be 93% accurate.

According to this ancient data, your best chances for a boy occur when the mother conceives in July when she is 18, 20, 30, and 42. The best chances for a girl occur when the mother conceives in April when she is 21, 22, and 29. Also according to the study a boy is 54% more likely to be born. Have Fun!

We want a hot tub.

As Jon and I went to a Home Depot the other day to meet a friend who wanted our help on his house construction, we can’t help but check out the hot tubs on display in one of the stores we passed by.  Getting one is so tempting as Jon loves the idea of soaking in hot water to relax his aching body after a tiring day at work.  A hot tub will also fit perfectly into our backyard and the idea of having our own backyard vacation spot is so cool, don’t you think?  I hope we can spare some money for it pretty soon so we could have our own relaxation spot in the comfort of our home.

New look.

We got tired of how our bedroom looks so my husband and I rearranged the furnitures the other day. After putting everything in place, we were so happy with the outcome as our bedroom had more extra space than before. Our room looked so spacious now. The only problem is the cable wire that connects to our television. Since we moved the television in the other end of the room, the cable couldn’t reach the back of our TV now. So, first thing tomorrow, I’m hitting the hardware store to get some patch cables.

No swimming.

We’re attending a 5th birthday swimming party tomorrow at Greenmeadows. I was so excited for Sophia only to find out today that she can’t swim :( Sayang the swimsuits I bought for her.

As I have told you, Sophia has very sensitive skin. She was bitten by a mosquito the other day and now the area is all swollen. The skin ballooned this morning and now that it popped, sugat na :( As in natuklap yung balat. :( This has always been the case every time a mosquito ar any other insect bites her. Allergic daw siya. I am actually taking her to the doctor na to have her skin tested as we have tried almost every medicine on her, no effect.

Hay!!!!!

Let’s go direct.

My cousin who just got married is currently busy with their house construction. She sought my help as she knew I was also in the same predicament as hers some four years ago. As I went with her to canvass for tiles, I was surprised to fin d out that most prices almost doubled already from the time we were having our house constructed. I’m now thankful we’re done with house construction ordeal! Anyway, as I was telling my cousin, I wish we had direct access to tile manufacturers as I’m sure it’ll be definitely be cheaper to get from them directly. This is what others call directbuy where we can purchase merchandise at manufacturer prices without traditional retail mark-up.  Such savings will definitely lessen the the burden of anyone who is having her house constructed.

Broken faucet.

Sophia’s bathroom faucet is broken. She has this habit of pulling it upside down whenever she’s inside the bathroom and being given a bath thats why. Now I need to look for a sturdier faucet for her bathroom that can survive a toddlers pulling, grabbing and shaking. I was told about Delta faucets which are said to represent half-century long tradition of delivering exceptionally well-made faucets and bath accessories that are crafted to be beautiful inside and out. Add to that, Delta Faucet’s level of quality and technological advancement, with their Brilliance lifetime anti-tarnish finish, extends through the entire product line with a lifetime faucet and finish limited warranties. Hmmm, sounds like what I’m looking for. I will definitely check them out.
