Jon, coming from a Chinese family grew up drinking tea. When we got married though, I, not used to drinking tea on the other hand as tea wasn’t really a favorite of every Filipino household like ours, made Jon stop drinking tea as it wasn’t included in my grocery list.
I never knew the importance of tea in the body. All I know was in the few times I tried drinking, I didn’t really like the taste of it. I am even surprised why some people has tea as their staple drink each time. Jon said it was more for healthy purposes rather than its role as a refreshing beverage as tea according to him is said to be a healthy dose of preventive medicine as defined by Health Scientists. There are supposed to be numerous benefits to drinking tea also. What are said to he hidden in every sip of Quality Herbal Tea are substances capable of bolstering our bodies’ defenses to help fight chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Whoa. Now, that is something don’t you think? As I got to know of this, I did a little bit of research and found out that although much remains to be learned about the health benefits of tea, a great deal has been documented and tea has been considered a good choice for at least some of the recommended 8 cups of fluid per day. Now, that ain’t bad, right? As I made a lot of more reading, I discovered the endless benefits of drinking tea like how it helps combat heart disease, lowers cholesterol and staves off several types of cancer while protecting skin and strengthening bones and teeth. Now, if that won’t be enough to convince you to drink tea, I don’t know what can. As for me, I am determined to give tea a chance and I am letting it in in our household and I am definitely including it now in our grocery list.
