On home furnishings.

Every homemaker like me could probably attest to the fact that nothing is more worthwhile and fulfilling than getting compliments from most house guests on how nice and how neatly put up one’s home or house is. I am all smiles whenever people who visit the house would almost always ask where I bought such colorful bed linens with the nicest pillows to compliment it or how I came up with the unique idea of using orange stools in the bar and so on. I am no expert in interior designing or decorating but I try to put things together the best I can. I don’t follow rules on what and what not I should use or put together, I simply decide by merely relying on how good it looks for me and my husband. Never mind what the interior design books would say.

My favorite home furnishing to shop for are bedroom accessories. I just can’t get enough of different bedding designs, quilts and pillows with matching rugs too. If you come over the house, our bedroom would have a different look each time. It could be soft and flowery one week while it could be all white the next and full of earth colors the succeeding week. I love to mix and match sometimes too.

My husband on the other and takes fancy with bathroom accessories. As I have told you many times before, he’s into pretty bathrooms. Believe it or not, we have matching shower curtains and towels. Each of our guests would find that extraordinary, all the time. It never fails I’m telling you. Our bathrooms also has to have a weighing scale as my husband is now a health buff.

Now, if you wonder where we get these extraordinary products that solicits extraordinary oohs and ahhs from our guests without breaking our budget, head over to Dunelm – UK’s one of the most successful home furnishings retailers and you’ll find more than enough of home furnishings you can choose from. They have got your home textiles needs covered. You should try them out and I’m sure you’ll be a returning customer like we are.

Hafa Adai …

means Hello! :D

Oh, the visas are going to be put to test (naks, what a word haha), we are going to have a short getaway in Guam this March. Sophia and I will soak in the beach and we’re going to have a tan! Oh, I can’t wait. :D

We’ll be staying in a beach front hotel in Tumon Bay, The Outrigger Hotel which is located in the center of the major tourist area across the extravagant Tumon Plaza, Galeria and Tumon Sands Plaza duty free shopping complexes . As I researched, Outrigger’s location can’t be beat, it’s an easy walk to great restaurants and the beach is right off the lobby. Now, that makes me really excited. Even if I’m no beach lover, I would try to be one just this once. LOL.

Guam’s unique duty free status is just one more reason why I am giddy happy and giddy excited. :D Let’s see if I can bring home one designer bag. ;)

More awards.

Alpha sent these nice awards my way.  Thank you so much. :) I hope to meet you soon in person. :P

I’m now sharing these to Abie, Em, Joey, Mich and Jacqui.

US visas granted.

We were granted US visas today :D Clap Clap

Yes, after almost a month of anticipating for this day, it’s finally over and it bore good news. :)

We were scheduled for an 8am interview but we were interviewed later, around 9:45am already. The interview went so smooth. Not a single document I prepared was looked at. We were asked a few questions, Jon specifically, about his business and our travel plans. Before we knew it, the interview was over. It barely lasted for five minutes haha.

The passports are yet to be delivered but I’m telling you, I saw the officer write M for multiple and 10 for 10 years, swear!!!! Ganun ka-clear ang vision ko. :P Diba Abie? :P

***Special thanks to Abie for all the help! Sis, thank you talaga I owe you a lot! Mwah! Parang ikaw yung travel agent ko hahahaha. You kept me right on track girl!

Beach Getaway.

Summer is almost near and would you care to share your summer plans?

As for us, we surely are hitting the beach this March. Even if I’m a confessed no beach lover, I am ready to hit the sand and get a tan for a change this time. My little girl I’m sure will have a blast. Swimsuits, pails and shovels are all ready I’m telling you. I can’t wait! I’ll let you in on our plans don’t worry.

If you on the other hand happens to be looking for a summer getaway still, you may want to consider having a relaxing Myrtle Beach vacation. After all, we all need a break from the daily grind of life don’t you agree? So for a short but surely fun vacation, treat yourself and your family to a beach getaway at Myrtle Beach and choose from the four superb Myrtle Beach hotels that can give you the best accommodation possible. Have the time of your life playing Myrtle Beach golf too if you are a gold fanatic while your kids soak in the sun and the sand. I bet you will all have the time of your life like we hope we’ll have. :D

I am sexy!

Thanks to Peachy and Mich for this sexy award that I wish I really embody, bwahahaha. :D

Thank you girls!!!And thanks to Mhay too for this one …

This is a great day. Awards keep pouring in :D

Hot water anytime.

If you don’t want to run out of hot water every time you take a bath, you might want to install tankless water heaters in your every bathroom. This will be very convenient and affordable if you are like my husband who usually gets sick if he won’t use hot water when taking a bath. He was like this ever since he was a kid so whenever we go on vacation, we always have to check if hot water is available anytime or else the husband will really be uncomfortable or worst, will get home sick.

On losing weight.

Jon’s Executive Check-up results came in two days ago. It’s all good thank God but he is being advised to shed a few pounds as he is two kilos overweight. He was prescribed weight loss pills that are known to be safe to help him lose the unwanted fats in his body. He started taking them yesterday and he also started using the treadmill. He is determined to really get in shape to be fit and healthy.  I’m now next.  I’ll schedule next week maybe. I hope to get good results too.

Under the weather and plain lazy.

I’m feeling a bit under the weather for two days now which explains my lack of updates here. I’ve been overly lazy too the couple of days for some reasons. I don’t know though if its just me but as I’ve bloghopped awhile ago, it seems like some mommies are in lazy mode too as there aren’t as much posts to read.

Anyway, we spent our weekend in Pampanga to attend a kiddie party. Sophia had the time of her life! :D Too bad I didn’t have my camera, sigh. :( I left it at home. But I’m telling you, the little girl was with every game played in the party, was winning prizes here and there, was singing on the microphone all on her own and was dancing nonstop all for a prize! HAHA. I swear, she was hilarious! We were all laughing at her. :P

As I write this, I’m back home already. In the comfort of my very own bed. And I just can’t resist, I need to nap now. I slept quite late as the husband dragged me out late last night to purchase DVDs from a very nice Muslim lady vendor our good friends Bishop and Yvette told us about in Angeles City. Hay naku, we made “pakyaw”! I have TONS of DVDs to watch now aside from hubby’s but I’m not opening any of them yet. I’ll be real busy this week and I don’t want any interruptions. I might get hooked and would want not to stop watching which I don’t think I can afford now. For one, I already lack a lot of sleep and badly needs to catch up, on sleeping I mean. And as I said, too many things to do this week. You’ll find out what. Stay tuned. :D
