My sister is attending a wedding next month and I am helping her look for the perfect dress to wear. Since she’s busy with her office work, she don’t have much time to look around so I took the liberty to search the net for that one perfect dress. Who knows, she might finally meet the guy of her dreams, you can never tell right? She better come prepared. She’s also starting to follow a strict diet according to her as she isn’t really fond of taking any diet pills eventhough my mom recommended Phentermine as this pill worked wonders for her. Anyway, here are the dresses I found so far. I’ll forward these to her a little later and hope she likes one.

This coming Saturday will be yaya’s day-off so Jon and I are planning on a whole day out of the house as we always do. We’ll be trooping this time to Greenhills to get my sister in law her birthday present – a Sony Ericsson P91i. This is what she requested as she finds that its easier to use and much more functional than her Blackberry. We need to get it in time for Jon’s parents’ departure for the US next Thursday. Since we’re already in Greenhills, I was thinking we might as well canvass for a high performance memory for Jon’s laptop too. I hope we accomplish everything we need to do and still be able to do a little shopping for last minute stuff Sophia needs for school this coming Monday.

My mom and dad are planning on a short HK-Singapore-Malaysia vacation next month and I am helping them out. I have already booked their flights but have yet to get them a hotel. They are not keen on spending that much on accommodations as they’ll rather spend the extra money for shopping so I am now searching for an affordable hotel for them to stay in. I am sure I’ll get nice accommodations with a not so high cost just like laughlin hotels if only I’ll be more patient. Let me know if you have some tips.

One of my Samsonite luggage needs to be replaced because of wear and tear. Although I would love to get another Samsonite as I have proven how sturdy they are, I am considering on trying Swiss Army luggage too as per recommendation from a friend. I was told that there’s a big sale going on with Swiss Army luggages so this must really be a sign to try this brand. What do you think?

So how did I spend my 28th birthday?

Simple.

I was in Pampanga as you all know during my special day. Jon came to pick us up after a week of staying there as I was sick. We just treated my family to lunch, a sumptuous one at that, at Fortune Chinese Resto. My family loves this resto as their Hot Prawn Salad is to die for. We have tried the same viand from other restos but nothing compares to Fortune’s. Super yummy!

Right after lunch, we headed home and bid my family goodbye. They have been pampering me and my daughter for a week and I guess they needed a break bwahahahaha. Seriously, we enjoyed our mini vacation there and if plans push through I might even give birth in Pampanga under my cousin’s care. No final decisions made yet though. I still need to weigh the pros and cons.

Once we got home, I am so relieved to find out that all painting jobs and the little renovations we are having are done. Hay salamat. Everything can be back to normal now. You see, we had Sophia’s room painted same as with the guest room we are now transforming into a playroom as the playroom downstairs I had painted too because I will turn it into a nursery. I know know, too early right? But since the painter was already here, we might as well make the most out of it. Jon had one wall of our room painted too into a dark red color. It’s nice. Will post a photo of it soon.

To those of you who were asking, I didn’t receive any gift on my birthday. Not one gift. This was what the HK trip was for. Nandun sa HK ang gift ko LOL. With my OB not approving of my travel plans, I had to cancel as you all know so no gift YET for me as even the Highlands Membership, even if fully paid already, I still have to get my hands on the membership card. Processing is one month! Although that very night I came home, upon seeing how ready Sophia’s room is, I called Mickey’s Place in Shang and arranged for a delivery of the Sleeping Beauty Furniture Set I posted a few posts back. To complete the room, I also ordered a 32 inch LCD TV for Sophia’s room. All stuff will be delivered Tuesday as Monday is a holiday. I can’t wait! I’m one happy birthday celebrant after all.

Now that my tummy is showing, being on my 14th week, I now plan to shop for maternity clothes. There are really not a lot of choices out there in the malls from where I am from so I’m hitting the internet (online shopping baby!) for my maternity clothing needs. Being able to wear fashionable maternity clothes is one thing that excites me with this pregnancy. I hope my paypal account won’t back down on me though. LOL.

Our wedding anniversary is a month away and I am thinking of something special to get my husband. He’s not into men’s jewelry so that is a no-no. I wonder if he would appreciate a designer label messenger bag though. I saw really nice messenger bags at the Gucci site the other night. Or to be safe, maybe a wallet is a better idea. What do you think?

I have been very sick these past few days. I had a very severe sore throat followed by a terrible dry cough and was even running a fever Friday night. What makes it worst is, as you all know, I am pregnant – 13 weeks to be exact.

Hay.

As of today, I am feeling better thank God. I’m into Amoclav and is advised to take lots and lots of rest. If you are wondeirng how I got sick, I am assuming I got it from the little girl. She has been running a fever and was having bad cough episodes the days before I did. She’s all better now though, thank God for that too. It was really me who have had to endure the worst.

Now, with this, I have canceled (will just have it re-booked) our HK trip which was supposed to be next week June 9, Monday. I wasn’t allowed by my OB to travel not until after I take a full rest and gets to recharge again. Well, I agree, I feel so weak now so an HK trip will not do.

Hay again.

But right now, what really matters is for me to really get well and for my baby “bullet” to be all fine. I pray to God he is. Even if my OB assures me that the meds I am taking are extremely safe, I still can’t help but worry. Pleas please please, I really hope he is okay.
