Good morning, people!

How are all of you today? As for me, feeling good, blogging to my heart’s content here at Las Paellas Cafe over salmon pasta and freshly squeezed orange juice. I took the little girl to school today that’s why I’m here. As I said in my post here, whenever I go with the little girl to school, I spend time in a cafe. By 10 am, as soon as the mall opens, I go around and buy little stuff here and there until the little girl gets dismissed from school an hour after. Today, I’ll be looking at ready made curtains for our dirty kitchen. The old one badly needs replacing. I am also getting the driver new polo uniforms as the ones he’s using right now seem too small for him already. He gained weight, I think. Who wouldn’t when all he does is take the little girl to school everyday and just wait there for three hours while he muches on his daily snacks? You should see Sophia’s yaya too, overweight already. LOL!

Anyway, you wouldn’t believe how many moms are here today with their laptops and obviously are waiting for their kids too like me. Quite a few I must say and I suddenly realize now SAHMs like me are growing in numbers.

I was surprised to find out that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! You see, have been putting off getting myself a pair of Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni for some time now. But lately, as I spend hours infront of the computer, I have been getting terrible headaches so I really must need to get Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses. I don’t want to spend much on something I’m only going to use while at home so the glasses from Zenni are perfect for me. Here’s what I am getting.

Topic No. 1: Life After the Wedding – the Married Life.

What are the things you want them to know about life after the wedding?

I have read several posts about this tag and most wives and mommies went on saying that the first years of marriage were major adjustment part, that marriage is no bed of roses, and that Aggie herself even wanted out while others even questioned if they made the right choice. As I told Aggie, mine is nowhere near these real life drama scenarios.

Believe it or not, I never adjusted to married life. And so does Jon, as he would always claim too. For some reasons, life after our wedding was what we envisioned it to be. We hardly fought, we hardly even argued. You might raise your eyebrows on me now but its the truth. Our friends would even brand us the “perfect couple” but seriously now, nothing and nobody is perfect and we definitely are not. We do have petty quarrels but trying to recall them now, they won’t even count to five. And the things we disagree about? You’d probably don’t want to know. Silly stuff like my plunging neckline blouses, my always being late, my being forgetful, his love for dogs and the like. No big issues at all which is why each disagreement doesn’t even end up as a real disagreement as we both would give in to each other’s wants at the end all the time. What he wants matters to me and what I want matters to him so whatever he wants, I am willing to give and vice versa. I must say now that compatibility is key. We probably are “perfectly compatible” to like and not like same things. Hence, no need for arguments. And as we always would tell each other, WE come first on each other’s list, not his family and not my family. Some might not get it but we perfectly do and it works for us – so far.

So here’s what Sophia needs to know:

Choose the right person to marry. Use your heart and your mind all at once. And once you marry that someone you cannot live without, make him your world and I’m sure he’ll make you his too.

Communication is key. Your dad and I talk about anything. I tell him everything and vice versa. It works for us and it should work for you and your husband too. We also take pleasure making “tsismis” to each other before going to bed every single day. Such little things matter you know. We are bestfriends too other than being husband and wife.

Keep the romance alive. If it fades, as others attest to, do everything to rekindle it. Getting out of the marriage shouldn’t be an option no matter how tough things may get. Work on it no matter how hard. Stay committed. After all, that’s a promise you made to each other infront of God so you should keep it.

Respect is very important. It is what will get you through in tough times.

And lastly, I fervently wish you find someone you are perfectly compatible with like I am with your dad.

I am probably the only person who doesn’t own an ipod these days. Boo. While the husband has two ipods, I can’t seem to figure why I need one for myself. First off, I am not into music, really. Boo again. I don’t know but for some reason, I am not fond of listening to any music at all. Well, I do listen once in a while and even have a couple of favorite songs but the “need” to have music all the time? No way! To tell you honestly, I can’t even blog while there’s music playing in the background. It distracts me. Weird huh?  So to those who are thinking of what to give me as gift either for my birthday or any upcoming occasions, don’t get me an ipod as it won’t serve me well.  Get me a bag instead or a make-up, LOL.

What’s the difference between a plasma and an LCD TV? To this day, I exactly don’t know, not even a clue. Having three LCDs at home (our room, Sophia’s room and the office), we never really bothered on asking. We were offered LCDs while inside a store and we gladly settled for them without bothering to inquire about plasmas.  Does any of you know?  Are we missing out on anything?

Ready, set, shop!

I am all set to shop for baby stuff as I have One Step Ahead coupons at my disposal. I am hoping to score really nice clothing items for both my little girl and my upcoming baby. If only I have bottomless funds, I would also get a new stroller now as I am one overly excited mommy. The husband is paying for that though so I have to wait until he gives me his go signal. In the meantime, I’ll plunge deep into shopping for kids apparel first. Wanna join me?

Tagging MBAPs!

With the upcoming baby, my second, I am now overly excited surfing for baby stuff – again. I spend hours searching the net for stuff and I actually don’t get tired. I used to be this excited when I was having my eldest, Sophia so whoever says that the excitement wears off, I beg to disagree. You see, having had a baby already and having tried other baby stuff brands already makes the search now for baby stuff even more detailed and meticulous. Right now, I know exactly what to look for in a pram and wouldn’t be confused with the various prams available in the market today claiming they are the best. I have certain features in mind that I am looking for that I wished Sophia’s pram had before. I know better now. I might even consider getting a pushchair instead this time as I saw some really nice and cool pushchairs over the net. We’ll see, I’m just about on my 5th month anyway so I have a lot of time to still think about it and come up with a decision.  No hurries at all. In the meantime, I need to save for more dollars for a bigger baby stuff shopping budget.

Dear God, we pray for the quick recovery of all the sick and the dying especially those suffering from LUPUS and CANCER. And to those 700 plus lives who have lost during the Princess of the Star Voyage tragedy during the typhoon last week. I pray that their bodies will be found and if not they will rest in peace. My heart aches for them… Amen.
