The second time around.

I am a mom again! I gave birth last Tuesday and boy was it fast! Rushed to Asian Hospital at 12 am and I gave birth 3:01 am to a healthy baby boy – Ramon Mateo M. King. Everyone – nurses, my OB, the anesthesiologist were all in awe how fast my progress was. How I wish I could get back in shape that fast too! I hope Trimspa can do that for me. *crossfingers*

I didn’t have a hard time giving birth this time unlike when I gave birth to Sophia at St. Luke’s. Overall my experience and stay at Asian was really good. So good that I don’t mind paying extra thousand bucks. Jon, Sophia and I really enjoyed our 3 day stay in this hospital. Our room was very spacious, the staff were extra friendly and facilities were superb. Jon was able to stay with me during my very short labor at the labor room and my quick delivery at the birthing room. Too bad this is my last pregnancy already so I won’t be back anymore. :D

So this photo below is the last one for me no matter how fulfilling motherhood is.

Saturday 9: Being a Good Sport.

Saturday 9: Being a Good Sport.

1. Were you raised around a lot of sports?
A little. My dad used to be a basketball player.

2. What is your favorite sport?
Volleyball. I used to be part of our school’s varsity team.

3. When did you last play a sport?
College.

4. When did you last attend a professional sporting event and what was it?
We used to watch PBA games at Araneta Coliseum when I was in college. Right now, we do watch my brothers represent their school in many basketball events. In fact, they even played in Vegas and were even billeted in a posh las vegas hotel but I was not able to go with them because I was pregnant.

5. What was the last sport you watch on TV?
Hmm, can’t think of any.

6. If you have children, do they play the same sports that you did? If not, someday if you have kids, would you like them to?
Sophia isn’t showing any love for a specific sport yet.

7. Do you think other people care too much about sports?
Oh yes, just like my dad and my siblings.

8. Do you have the freedom to be as involved in either playing or watching as much sports as you’d like to?
Yes.

9. Who is your favorite sports team?
I used to root for Ginebra (PBA) when I was in college.

Snagged from Peachy.

What was the first thing you thought when you looked at yourself in the mirror today?

- I need more sleep!!!

Do you have a recurring nightmare? If so, explain.

- None so far. Although I dreamed that I had cancer the other night and eventually died of it, morbid, I know. It was so strange and a bit funny at the same time as according to the dream, I got the cancer from too much stress I get from running a home business.

List three foods you can’t stand:

- Anything exotic – cobra, bayawak etc.

- Super spicy food.

- Chocolate with mint (Jon’s fave, hehe).

What kind of cookie are you?

You Are a Fortune Cookie

You’re a rather normal person, except that you have extraordinary luck in life.

People want to be around you (even when they’re a little sick of you), in hopes of being lucky too!

What Kind of Cookie Are You?

Just when I needed it most.

You all know I’m about to pop anytime now, right? So in preparation, I am packing my hospital bag this morning and charged my digital camera and video camera. Just when i was about to drop them inside my bag though, I suddenly had the urge to try both of them first. And what do you know? I’m so glad I did as our Sony Video Camera isn’t working!!!! For some reason, the LCD won’t turn on. UGH!!! Major BOO! Just when I needed it most!

Now I need to call in Sony Service Center and ask about how much it would cost to have the LCD replaced. If the price is anywhere near buying a new video cam, was thinking might as well get a new one. Those new models they have now or do you have any camcorder recommendations?

Home early.

Jon was home early yesterday which usually doesn’t happen lately anymore since he opened his new sideline business. So I asked him why and he said its because I wasn’t feeling well (read here) so he needed to be home early. Awwwww. Isn’t that sweet? Yes, I’m that “babaw”, LOL. You see, I know how busy my husband is and how precious time is for him so cutting short all his appointments and to do’s for the day is SOMETHING. He was home at 2pm!!!

So how did we spend the day? Watching DVDs and eating! Well, and him checking out a car cover for his toy of the moment which I don’t mind at all as he simultaneously rubs my neck, chest and back with mentholatum while doing so. :D

Mission Accomplished.

Yesterday was a fun and tiring day. Since Sophia’s yaya was on a day off, Jon and I took the little girl out – malling at Glorietta as we usually do to tire her LOL. Bad!

Anyway, we started the day early to attend the Sunday mass and then we headed to Glorietta for lunch. A trip to the mall won’t be complete without a visit to a bookstore of course so Sophia can choose her books for the day. We were at Powerbooks for a while and she took home two yesterday – Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hatches an Egg and a Nemo Book, again. As you all know by now, my daughter is addicted to Nemo lately and I wonder when it’ll last. We took her to Timezone after and she even rode the crawling animals with her dad at the Activity Center. We then headed to Rustans and looked for a doll house but to no avail. They have the small cheapy ones only, not the sturdy wooden type I am looking for which makes me kind of desperate now. I think the type I am looking for are not available locally which gives me the need to think of an alternative Christmas gift supposedly from Santa for the little girl.

As we have hoped for, Sophia was super tired by the time we hopped in the car and was snoozing in no time. Here she is …

image024.jpg

Jon passed by True Value in ATC on the way home while the little girl is sleeping in the car to get some stuff for his newly opened business which he has plans of expanding as early as now that he is seriously looking at commercial real estate properties near our area. Now, isn’t that quite a rush? His new sideline business has only been operational for three weeks but looks like he’s very much satisfied with the outcome …. Hmmm ….

Back to the little girl, our plan to tire her was still on. She woke up as soon as we entered the village and since it was still a bit early, around 5pm, we took her to the park first. LOL. By the time we were home, it was dinner time already and the daddy gave her a bath after. We then watched Cars on DVD and then before we know it, it was already bedtime. The little girl was sleeping in no time. Mission Accomplished!
